Who May Apply

Final Year Tertiary Students (Students who major in art, art history, art
management or heritage-related fields such as history, sociology, architecture,
Southeast Asian studies are a plus but not a requirement)

New Graduates (Graduates who major in art, art history, art management or
heritage-related fields such as history, sociology, architecture, Southeast
Asian studies are a plus but not a requirement. Application must be made within
one year of graduation date.)

Arts, Culture & Heritage professionals with less than three years of
working experience

If you are currently working in an organisation, your application must be
supported with written assurance from your organisation that you are able to
attend all Curating Lab 2014 events, in particular the Curatorial-Intensive,
Overseas Field Trip and Industry Immersion.

All employees and contract staff belonging to organisations with Company
Limited by Guarantee status are eligible to apply and will be assessed based on
merit.
We regret to say that only
Singapore citizens / Permanent Residents are eligible to apply. No exceptions
can be made.
How Are Participants
Selected?
Applications will be
reviewed by a selection panel consisting of Curating Lab facilitators, mentors,
NUS Museum and National Arts Council staff. The assessment will be based on the
submitted application documents. Shortlisted applicants will be invited for a compulsory
final interview with the selection panel. Selection is at the absolute
discretion of the selection panel and the decision shall be final.
Programme Costs
With the exception of
employees and contract staff belonging to departments/institutions part of the
Visual Arts Cluster, National Heritage Board and National University of
Singapore, participants will be entitled to:

Return airfare, local travel and accommodation costs for the Overseas
Field Trip. Participants are responsible for their own travel expenses and application
for travel insurance.

$500 internship stipend during the period of the industry immersion from
30 June to 25 July 2014.

submitted to NUS Museum via email to museum@nus.edu.sg by 21 May 2014 with the
subject header “Curating Lab 2014 Application”. Please note that incomplete and
late applications will not be considered and only shortlisted candidates will
be notified.
